I really really enjoyed this! It was light-hearted, and yet still in-character - sometimes light-hearted stories turn characters really one-dimensional, but everyone had more layers here, especially Brendon. And I loved when Gerard used fluttering jazz hands to describe epsionage, such a great in-character visual.
I loved the pacing. The stilted, stop-start of Brendon and Ryan's thing, and how they didn't just rush into each other's arms. Lovely build-up.
“You two seem to argue every time you even begin talking! It just…it just doesn’t seem like the greatest foundation for a relationship.”
“Maybe I didn’t want a relationship,” Brendon says rebelliously. “Maybe I just wanted to get fucking laid.”
Haha I loved this part - instead of making it a love story or making Brendon out to be searching for a meaningful relationship, there was the much more honest option that he was just looking for a hook-up. So much more realistic!

Thanks for a great read, and for making me laugh.
