beluga is a really gr8 word

I changed my el-jay layout again! Isn't it pretty? If any of you were around this morning, then you probably caught a whole bunch of fuckery in which I tried out and then discarded about ten million different layouts. /o\/o\/o\ But I really like this one! It was made by [livejournal.com profile] refuted, and it's exactly as simple as I wanted. Plus, it makes me look very mature, no? Which is why I felt compelled to write a particularly juvenile subject line on this entry, so as to keep from fostering any misleading impressions.

I also made a header! Well, okay, not really, but I inserted and resized it correctly, so I am feeling very accomplished. :D It was in actual fact first made by [livejournal.com profile] upsa_daisy. She's got a shitload of bee-yoo-ti-ful headers/icons; it's a really great place.

I had my very first fandom-related dream last night, flist! I feel like I've passed some sort of test; like, I am truly a member of bandom now. :D And it was about Pete Wentz, as all the best dreams are! I don't even remember too clearly what the dream was about; I just met him at some kind of party that my friend was throwing (yeah, apparently my friends had ~connections in this dream. The more you know, and all that.) and we totally hit it off. It was great! I was amazingly witty, which is how I knew it had to be a dream. Then we ended up in the same bed together, in that disjointed, surreal way dreams meander, and my friend was lying between us, asleep. Everything was very (depressingly) platonic; I just talked a lot and Pete Wentz laughed a lot which made me blush a lot. A very enjoyable dream all around! I hope it comes by again tonight.

Oh, I have a story to share! None of you know this, because I hardly share any personal information here, but I live in a ho-hum little town in Oregon. Very low-key and environmentally-concerned. My mom was driving me around downtown, as you do, and we're chatting. Then she turns on to a street, and I think to myself, hmmm, something about this doesn't seem quite right. I wonder what it is? Heh, yeah. And then I realize that something seems not quite right because THERE IS A CAR COMING STRAIGHT AT US.

Yeah. Whoops, Mom.

So, apparently she had turned onto a one-way street. Keep in mind that we have lived here for more than seven years. It wasn't...her finest moment. The best part of the whole thing was that no one did anything about it. No one honked. No one waved certain fingers out of windows. Everyone patiently slowed down and waited for my mom to turn into the nearest parking lot. And then life resumed as normal. THIS IS THE KIND OF TOWN I LIVE IN. I don't know whether to be pleased about that or to headdesk repeatedly. If we were still living in Chicago, I'm pretty sure my ears would have been ringing with curse words.

This was kind of an uneventful entry. Oh, well. How are you all doing? :)

yes, yes, i know, I'm a bitch. :D
though speaking of dreams, i kept dreaming shit about band stuff, usually twitter related, and the next day it would pop up! i'm starting to get a little worried...

ooh, dream about tinhatty things! like pete accidentally revealing his polygamous marriage to patrick and ashlee! or ryan begging bden to take him back! (or, hell, even bden and spencer getting married in vegas! :D)
